The kora around Mount Kailash is one of the most meaningful journeys on the plateau — and one of the most physically demanding. Altitude, weather and trail conditions all matter more than a glossy brochure day-count.

Pacing

Most visitors walk the circuit over three days, crossing the Dolma La pass on the second day. We build approach days via Saga or Manasarovar so you arrive with better acclimatisation. Skipping those days to “save time” is how trips go wrong.

Who it suits

Fitness helps, but so does humility about altitude. We brief guests on packing, rest days and when to turn back. Private groups can adjust timing; fixed departures follow a tested outline with guides who know the trail.

If Kailash is your goal, write with your dates and walking experience. We will say clearly whether the season and your timeline support a full kora.
